A few years ago I watched a movie called "What the Bleep Do We Know?"  If you haven't seen it I highly recommend that you do.  In one fascinating segment there are some amazing photographs referencing the work of Dr. Masaru Emoto and his study of water crystals and the powerful effect words and music have on the crystallized form that frozen drops of water will then take.

I wanted to learn more so I bought some of Dr. Masaru Emoto's books and a film about his water experiments which explained his experiments in more detail and also spoke of the effect words can have on cooked rice.  I expounded on this experiment and created my own.

These are the steps I took.

1.       I cooked a pot of rice following the directions on the package omitting the salt.

2.    I measured 1/4 cup of rice into 5 identical small glass canning jars with lids.

3.    On a piece of tape I wrote the words, "Thank you! I love and honor you!" and placed it on one of the jars of rice.

4.    On a piece of tape I wrote the words, "You are bad, I hate you!" and placed it on one of the jars of rice.

5.    On the next three jars I did not write any words.

6.    I placed all five jars onto my kitchen window shelf, each day for about eight weeks I would pick up each jar, one at a time, and on the jars with the written words I would repeat the words to the rice that were written on the tape.

7.    On the two jars that did not have any words written I would focus on the rice and just THINK the words that were written on the tape of the other two jars and I also tried as best as I could to "feel" the corresponding emotions and projected these feelings onto the rice as well.  I put a small mark on the lids so that I could distinguish them from each other.

8.    The fifth jar I completely ignored.  I didn't even purposely look at it and didn't speak to it at all.

9.    Except for the jar that I completely ignored I occasionally changed the position of each jar in the line-up and also would rotate each of the other four jars to more fairly expose them to their environment. On all five the lids were kept closed throughout the experiment.

**   Notes:  my kitchen window faces north and does not receive any direct sunlight but my kitchen is well lit.

There is great power and energy in words.  The results from my experiment were completely mind blowing!  See photos below with accompanying comments.  If you do your own experiment or duplicate mine let me know your results.  I would be interested in hearing your stories.

Very nice color, mostly on top of rice.

The above two jars are the same jar of rice photographed sitting on different colored surfaces and from different angles.

Rice that received only good thoughts and energy

Rice amazingly stayed pure and white!!
Thoughts & energy seem to have more power!

Reminds me of the power of prayer!

Jar that was ignored was most shocking of all!

Bugs actually appeared and comsumed the rice!
The bugs consumed & destroyed their world...

My experiment is very small compared to Dr. Emoto's work and efforts.

Below I have provided some Amazon links to the videos and to some of the books I mentioned by Dr. Emoto.

I am sure you can also probably find them at many other places where books and DVD's are sold.  The prices at Amazon are really good and I trust them for online shopping and the customer reviews are also very helpful.  Also, if you don't mind purchasing used books and DVD's they are the best resource for that as well as new items and are guaranteed.  Win, Win for everybody.

These above two DVDs will really make one stop and think and were the basis from which my experiment sprang.

Above is some additional information by Dr. Emoto...there is much more available but I am just pointing in the right direction to begin your own search if you are interested in learning more.
